André Serrão

His work is recognized by the assistance provided to the main agents of the Brazilian electricity sector — generation, transmission, distribution, and commercialization companies — in strategic regulatory issues and complex litigation.
He also has solid experience advising on regulatory agreements, proposing new regulations, and actively participating in Public Hearings, contributing to the modernization and legal certainty of the sector.
He was a member of the Attorney General's Office (AGU) — the federal government's legal body directly linked to the Presidency of the Republic — between 1999 and 2002.
As General Counsel for the Union, he played a central role in advising the government on the formulation of the new regulation and the new electricity sector law.
In 2002, he began his private practice at Wald Advogados in São Paulo, and in 2009, he founded his own firm, Serrão Advogados.
